Proxima is a qualifier on  predicate  of the verb to be.

It´s an extension  in space on a voice´s thread.

It´s a referential pose on passing words

That resonate on skin, being, and memorial mold

Proxima is a project of improvisation where dance music and poetic text mix and transform themself, space and imagination. By approaching the spoken word through the dancing medium, its semantic side loses importance in favour of its emotional component and the evocative power of sound.

It is based on Instant Composition and approaches surrounding and inner perceptions using the word and the voice as the main element of unification.

Proxima is a collaborative project between the composer and vocalist Rieko Okuda and the dancer Stefania Petracca.

In the work we mix Japanese texts with verses and poetry of Italian contemporary poetess (Mariangela Gualtieri)
